It wouldn’t feel like the most engaging or unique thing to say, that my urge to release music under a project that felt so personal, rose within the early lockdown days. Everyone has felt the same way. It did though, so here is my first full album, following the short releases that took place earlier in the covid days.
“Younger than the Rain” carries the burdens, the worries, the joy, the appreciation, and all the rest of the everyday experiences throughout a difficult, yet somewhat rewarding period. Even the tracks’ placement might be telling a story, though I’m not sure, I just went with how I felt it.
What I am sure about, is that YTTR is an honest, intimate glimpse of what it was like being me, at least up until the day I let it go. It was written throughout a long period of time, and it was reproduced and re-recorded in a matter of days. Life is an ongoing journey though, so next one might be an overproduced electronic thing, a metal collaboration, or a super-long and peaceful ambient album (well, probably this one), but for now, this is what it is.
